Level of Membership
Successful achievement at the full qualification will lead to  Membership of ICB and the award of the designatory letters MICB. The designation MICB means you are a Certified Bookkeeper. This gives a very reliable benchmark for Small and Medium sized Businesses including Limited Companies.

After attaining MICB you can use the letters MICB after your name, use the ICB Crest on your stationary and web site plus tap into the professional support and resources available from the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, the largest Bookkeeping Professional Body in the World. MICB status and qualification allows you to carry out the role of an employed or self-employed qualified bookkeeper, producing Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Not for Profit Organisations, draft accounts for Limited Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships in both a Manual and Computerised system.

Our MICB Career path Course package can be a fast track to your attainment of MICB status.

You have one year in which to complete the Manual Career Path Courses and a further year in which to complete the Computerised Courses . In practice, it should take much less time as there are no set examination dates and all examinations are available on-demand throughout the year.

This means as soon as you have completed each Course you can then immediately sit the exam for that Course.

Entering and paying for the exams is the Student’s responsibility and this is easily done from the ICB’s website. The exams for the MICB prestigious professional qualification  (Manual and Computerised) are sat both at home (or in your workplace) and at an external exam  Centre. There are 5,200 examination Centres available around the world for candidates to choose from. Eligible candidates can book their own examination sitting for a date and time convenient to them and according to availability at their nominated centre.
